Who We Are

We are Kyle & Nicole Fernandez.  The owners of “Kyle Fernandez Construction”.   We have worked hard to be able to call ourselves the ultimate one-stop-shop for individuals wanting to build their dream home in Dripping Springs, Driftwood, Johnson City, Wimberley, and Blanco, Texas.

Why do we call ourselves the “ultimate one-stop-shop”?  For many clients – building their dream home seems like an overwhelming journey to take.  Kyle’s wife Nicole is a licensed real estate agent with the Beem Team of Coldwell Banker.  The Beem Team is led by Kyle’s best friend, Garrett Beem who has over 15 years of experience in Real Estate. Garrett has long been Kyle’s exclusive real estate agent.  Together Garrett and Nicole are unmatched in all aspects of the residential real estate industry.

Kyle specializes in assisting clients in land selection and consulting on building feasibility, architectural design, and navigating the financial aspects of building from selecting the right lender to building budgets for the build project.  Not to mention that Kyle is most in his element when it comes time to build your dream home.

If you need a white-glove service to help you navigate finding the right parcel of land, purchasing that land, selling your current home, designing your new home, renting a home to live in while your dream home is in process, and building a home from the ground up – we’ve got you covered on all fronts!

Kyle’s ability to design one of a kind custom homes speaks for itself in his project portfolio but, he also collaborates with several amazing architects if that is the path

his clients choose to take.  Kyle is very passionate about being heavily involved in both architectural design (whether he is the lead designer or not) as well as attending all selection meetings with his clients to help them navigate through the process every step of the way.

When clients select Kyle as their lead designer – initial concept sketches start with just Kyle and his clients bouncing ideas back and forth through his unique skillset to help clients determine the direction they want the project to go.  He spends considerable time on their land taking factors such as topography, directional layout, sightlines, and existing trees into consideration.  Kyle then utilizes his in-house CAD designer with over 40 years of residential design experience as well as his deep roster of interior designers, product suppliers, and sub-contractors to make the vision become a reality.

When clients chose to work with an architect – Kyle likes to get involved early on in an advisory role contributing to the process as a construction expert.  While the architects that Kyle prefers to collaborate with have amazing talent and impressive collegiate qualifications – he’s found that they aren’t deeply knowledgeable in actual building costs, material costs, and practical field operations.  No disrespect to architects intended – it’s a simple as they have their role – to design – and Kyle has his role – to execute their design within the client’s budget parameters.  Having Kyle in an advisory role during that phase is invaluable and usually welcomed by architects because he can assist you in communicating your vision to an architect as someone that has your best interest in mind beyond just the design.

If you’re considering a move to the Texas Hill Country or if you already live here and want to upgrade – Kyle & Nicole Fernandez would love to visit with you to discuss your project goals.

Our Story

According to the Secretary of State in the great state of Texas - Kyle Fernandez Construction – also known as “Ridgecrest Custom Homes Ventures, LLC” officially launched in 2017 but, the story didn’t start there.  Our founder and namesake Kyle Fernandez cut his teeth in construction as a teenager working in the mission field in the 1990’s as an active member of a Christian youth movement known as “World Changers”.  Kyle spent his teen summers as a volunteer across the United States gutting and rebuilding homes for people and communities in need.  As all entrepreneurs do – Kyle learned each construction trade from the ground up through sweat equity.  From demolition to a finished home and everything in between.

Through those experiences Kyle fell in love with construction for multiple reasons.  Most notably – he considers the journey of building a home for a family and sharing in their joy on the day they get to move in as something that is hard to compete with on the level of joy it brings to him.  Throughout college Kyle was known as the guy that could build custom bunk beds for fellow student’s dorm rooms but, the restaurant industry is what paid the bills and got him through

business school.  Kyle spent most of his 20’s working in executive management within the restaurant industry – learning through the school of hard knocks how to manage people and business financials.

At the age of 27, Kyle left the restaurant industry and took a job for a national logistics company as an entry-level sales representative in a territory undeveloped at that time.  In less than 2 years Kyle developed an operation that billed over $20 million annually and dominated a 13-state region.  Kyle worked his way up in the corporate structure and was eventually elevated to the National Director of Sales.

In 2013 Kyle was hired by a manufacturing company in Round Rock, Texas as the Vice President of Sales.  Building on his experience in domestic sales, Kyle entered the realm international trade.  Given Kyle’s strong work ethic and leadership ability – the company grew dramatically but, something was missing in Kyle’s life.  He had recently married his wife Nicole and they had a strong desire to start a family.  However, being the leader of sales for a global supply chain company came at a cost of an intense international travel schedule so Kyle decided to resign, take a leap of faith, and go back to the industry that always gave him the most joy – construction.

That’s where Kyle Fernandez Construction was born and the rest is history.
